With that being said, we who have called on the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved, we better make sure that we are, indeed, in right standing with the Father when Jesus returns! Beloved, we only get one shot at this born-again life before we die. We must be found blameless when Christ returns! We are called to live holy, clean, and godly lives. We don't get to go back to the old way of living which was sinful, detestable, rebellious, and wicked in the sight of holy God! When we show appreciation, gratitude, and reverential awe & fear towards the Father, it fosters a lifestyle of faithful obedience... simply for the fact that we have been snatched from 's fire!
We must be grateful for our salvation and work it out with fear and trembling. And we show that gratitude by being obedient. By being peaceful. By being loyal and faithful to Lord Jesus. By being a loving people. By producing fruits of the Spirit that backs up our repentance. James told us that faith without works is dead. And so, we live "sensible, upright, and godly lives [lives with a purpose that reflect spiritual maturity] in this present age," as we "reject ungodliness and worldly (immoral) desires" (study Titus 2:11-14).
God has promised His children a wonderful gift: ETERNAL LIFE! And this life is found in His Son; made available to those who have put their faith and trust in His shed blood. "Therefore, since we have these [great and wonderful] promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, completing holiness [living a consecrated life—a life set apart for God’s purpose] in the fear of God" (2 Corinthians 7:1). Amen! Live clean. Be holy. Consider all your ways before the Lord! 🎯 REPENT and BELIEVE and TURN back to God!
