💥 Join me today on the podcast (link below) as I exhort: To be carnally, or fleshly, minded means to have a “mind governed by the flesh” (Romans 8:6), living to please one’s fleshly desires. A carnally minded person seeks to fulfill the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life (1 John 2:16). The corrupt nature has a hostile attitude toward God. It refuses to place itself under the authority of God’s standards because it can’t! “For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace, for the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will.” (Romans 8:5–7).
🚨What you set your mind on, will determine where you will spend eternity! You set your mind on the flesh, you will die (eternal separation from God). You set your mind on the Spirit and you will have everlasting life and peace!
Beloved, do you believe God? I know that you believe in God. But do you believe God when He says that the unrighteous, those who willfully live a life of sin on purpose with clarity, albeit wrongly of mind, who rejects Jesus, will not inherit His Kingdom? Because society at large, humanity, and most professing Christians, do not take Him at His Word!
He is no one to play with! The Father, Creator of the heavens and the earth, who sent forth Jesus Christ to die for the sins of the world, "Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God" (Romans 3:24-25), means business!!!
Christ has done it all for us in turning God's wrath back from the one who places their faith in Jesus Christ! He is the PROPITIATION for our sins. Therefore, we live lives that are godly, obedient, and faithful! We set our minds on the things of the Spirit, who leads us in the ways of righteousness and holiness!
🚨 A true follower of Jesus', keeps his or her mind focused on the things of the Spirit. A believer’s mind is set on the things above, not on earthly things (study Colossians 3:2).
We eagerly look forward to the Day of Christ's return, when He will reward everyone for what they have done - either good or bad! Amen! Be holy. Live clean. Remain faithful to Jesus!
