💥 Join me today on the podcast (link below) as I exhort: The wages of sin is death! Therefore, as we see the Day approaching when Christ returns to judge the world in righteousness, we must remain in faithful obedience to Jesus, UNTIL THE END! Remaining faithful, abiding in Jesus, means listening to, following, and obeying Jesus. For, "[that same Jesus] is the propitiation for our sins [the atoning sacrifice that holds back the wrath of God that would otherwise be directed at us because of our sinful nature—our worldliness, our lifestyle]; and not for ours alone, but also for [the sins of all believers throughout] the whole worl" (1 John 2:2).
As born-again children of the Most High God, we no longer make it a practice to walk in habitual, deliberate, perpetual sin! We come away from this world who rejects Jesus and His saving grace. Our minds are being renewed by Holy Spirit so we no longer follow the dictates and patterns of a society who openly rejects godliness, righteousness and morality! As we look at Romans chapter 6, Paul now turns to ask if believers should continue in sin once they have been saved. He gives several reasons why we must not: we died to sin's power over us; we are now servants to righteousness; and what good did sin ever bring to you, anyway? NONE!! REMEMBER: SIN NO LONGER HAS MASTERY OVER YOU!
💥 6 "We know that our old self [our human nature without the Holy Spirit] was nailed to the cross with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin. 7 For the person who has died [with Christ] has been freed from [the power of] sin." 💥
Beloved, we must make a decisive act to follow Jesus! We must know and understand that the wages of sin is death but that the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus! The culmination of this fallen world is fastly approaching and it will burn up in fervent heat! "So you must remain faithful to what you have been taught from the beginning. If you do, you will remain in fellowship with the Son and with the Father. And in this fellowship we enjoy the eternal life he promised us." Amen! 🎯 REPENT and BELIEVE and TURN back to God!
