Take Your Salvation SERIOUSLY! Scripture is unanimous: born-again sons and daughters of the Most High God, have a moral obligation to conduct and live our lives as Christ lived when He walked this Earth: in OBEDIENCE to the Father, as "the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him" (study Luke 3:22).
Beloved, let us be uber, super, clear that as children of God, washed and forgiven by the shed blood of Jesus, who died for our sins on the cross and rose the third day, sealed by His Holy Spirit, we walk in the "newness of life!" We live changed lives - now that we are in Christ Jesus! No longer do we practice sin as a lifestyle! We put away all worldliness, lust, and evil desires! We long to please our heavenly Father! Christ has promised that the man who endures until the end (whether we go by the way of the grave or His return) shall be saved (study Matthew 24:13), He will give us eternal life!! Scripture says, "Therefore if you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, sharing in His resurrection from the dead], keep seeking the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above [the heavenly things], not on things that are on the earth [which have only temporal value]. 3 For you died [to this world], and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory" (Colossians 3).
Therefore, "We have an obligation, but not to our flesh [our human nature, our worldliness, our sinful capacity], to live according to the [impulses of the] flesh [our nature without the Holy Spirit]— 13 for if you are living according to the [impulses of the] flesh, you are going to die. But if [you are living] by the [power of the Holy] Spirit you are habitually putting to death the sinful deeds of the body, you will [really] live forever. 14 For all who are allowing themselves to be led by the Spirit of God are sons of God" (Romans 8). BE SET FREE! SIN IS NO LONGER YOUR MASTER! WE FOLLOW, LISTEN, AND OBEY JESUS CHRIST!
