Like we were discussing in yesterday's episode, NO WE DO NOT HAVE to keep the Law of Moses because it was not given to us, but to Israel! We will see in today's lesson the purpose of the Law which tells us in Galatians 3:24, "So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith." Galatians 5:4 tells us that anyone attempting to be justified by the Law is alienated from Christ and have fallen from grace. The Bible tells us that if the Law could justify anyone, then Christ died for nothing! The confusion comes into play when apostate false teachers teach that we are saved by grace BUT then have us participating in the Law through their pet false doctrine of tithing and sowing seed! So we don't know if we have to keep the Law or not? Are we saved by grace or are we not? Are we under both covenants or are we not? Listen, to be set free from the bondage of this false teaching, all we have to do is read Scriptures like Romans 8:15, Galatians 3:10, Galatians 5:4, John 19:30, Romans 10:4, Ephesians 2:15, Colossians 2:13-14 and Galatians 3:15-31, and many more. Paul, the apostle, was led by the Holy Spirit to write two thirds of the New Testament, by which he laid out in explicit detail and through great illustrations, that we are not commanded to keep any of the Law - you can't keep it anyway! Glory be to God for Christ Jesus who fulfilled the Law on our behalf and He paid OUR penalty by dying on the cross for our sins! We follow the Law of Christ that tells us in Mark 12:28-33 that we are to love God with everything within us and to love our neighbors as we love ourselves and Jesus said in verse 31, "There is none other commandment greater than these!"
