(1 Thessalonians 4:3-5), "It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God." Amen.
If we are commanded to abstain from every form of evil and not make provision for the flesh, then why aren't many obeying?
The question is being answered today: Why then, with God's perfect plan of salvation laid out before us, why do some Christians find sanctification hard to endure? Why do some Christians struggle with it? If it is God's will that we are sanctified, why do some keep getting themselves tangled and enslaved by sin again, when they have been set free from the power of sin? Why is it, that those who claim Jesus is their Lord and Savior, continue to roll around in the dirt, going back to their vomit and then want to claim, "This is too hard. It's just too hard that God expects for us to be holy, knowing that we are still in these earthly bodies, still being tempted by sin, but then wants to judge us!"
