💥 Join me today on the podcast (link below) as I exhort: The entire New Testament emphasizes repentance from sin—before God will grant salvation! (See Luke 24:45-47). No one is excluded from Jesus’ demand to repent! He made this clear when a group of people came to Him with news of two calamities. Innocent people had been killed by Pilate’s massacre and by the fall of the tower of Siloam (Luke 13:1-5). Lord Jesus took the occasion to warn even the bearers of the news:
“Unless you repent, you will all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3,5).
đź’Ą The only kind of sorrow for our sins that will produce salvation, is when we are so sorry for our sins that we are willing to CEASE the sin, and not RETURN to it again! THIS IS REPENTANCE!
People who have a deep sense of gratitude for the sacrifice that Jesus has made for them, are likely to love Him more. Whereas, people who have not experienced a deep sense of remorse for their sins—or how much He suffered for their sins—will not feel as much love or appreciation for what Jesus has done.
💥 In order for any person to obtain eternal life from God, the first and primary element that must be present in the heart, is genuine REPENTANCE. Many people are sorry for their sins, yet not sorry enough to change their life and seek to SIN NO MORE. True repentance compels the sincere to not only experience genuine sorrow, but also a earnest desire to cease from their former sins. Amen! 🎯 REPENT and BELIEVE and TURN back to God!
