💥 Join me today on the podcast (link below) as I exhort: What looks good in the moment can also destroy your soul. Some claim they follow Jesus and are born-again, but they are not really following the Lord Jesus Christ! You're not following Him if you are still continuing in sinful lifestyles with no shame, with no remorse, without any repentance, nor regret! The Bible provides lists of the types of people who will not inherit the Kingdom of God if they continue to practice those things that God has clearly defined as sin and perversion!
The verses in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (that I'm highlighting today) contain one of the many lists in Scripture of the works of the flesh. Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, specifically told his readers that fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, homosexuals, sodomites, thieves, covetous, drunkards, revilers, and extortioners will NOT “inherit the kingdom of God.”
Even professing Christians have rejected the clear teaching set forth in these passages. Paul keeps the mind in sobriety when he says in verse 12: "Everything is permissible for me, but not all things are beneficial. Everything is permissible for me, but I will not be enslaved by anything [and brought under its power, allowing it to control me]."
We must come away from any and all things that will put us back to the broad road that leads to destruction and ruin! We all once lived in debauchery, lust, sexual immorality, and all manners of lifestyles that were a stench in the nostrils of holy God! That's how we USED to live, but NOW as born-again children of the Most High God, filled with His Holy Spirit, we must remember we: "were washed [by the atoning sacrifice of Christ], you were sanctified [set apart for God, and made holy], you were justified [declared free of guilt] in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the [Holy] Spirit of our God [the source of the believer’s new life and changed behavior]."
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17). We no longer practice those things that will disqualify us from the Kingdom!!
Amen! 🎯 REPENT and BELIEVE and TURN back to God!
