This week in The Tape Store we talk about the 1986 Disney classic The Great Mouse Detective. Basil of Baker Street is the "Sherlock Holmes" of the Mouse Kingdom, which led us to talk a little bit about our favorite portrayals of the great British detective. We touch on the past performances of Robert Downey, Jr., Benedict Cumberbatch, Matt Frewer, and especially, Basil Rathbone, who directly inspired the character of Basil of Baker Street. We also discuss Ratigan as one of the best (in our opinion) villains of the Disney universe, and of course, who could forget his outrageous sidekick, Fidget the bat.
