In Episode one: "Charma", a horrific double homicide of a senator's son and his girlfriend sets off a state wide investigation. Navajo sheriff Awena, discovers strange clues that lead her to believe the killings are connected to the disappearances of dozens of Navajo girls - and may be the work of a Skinwalker. Her theory is rejected by the FBI, however, forcing Awena to recruit a funky, hipster reporter Matt Chung to help track down "Charma" a mysterious indigenous woman long-rumored to be a witch. Meeting Matt at the local truck stop/motel "Chuck & Buck's", Awena meets a precocious East Indian teenager Saani, who aspirations to become a reporter - but her obsession with the murders may lead her into danger...
