Join us as we talk with Father Ed Herzog, alumnus, priest and the new campus chaplain at Newman University. Father Ed shares his journey from being a student at Newman to coming back as a chaplain.
Father Ed grew up in a small, rural area in New York. When he was looking for colleges, he explored many options, including schools in Hawaii and Florida. He ended up choosing Newman University because he wanted to play golf and liked the size and feel of the school. He even mentions that his dad had a strong feeling that Newman was the right place for him before he did.
Father Ed admits that he didn't think much about the Catholic aspect of Newman when he first chose it. But over time, he found that the community and his experiences there were very special. He also talks about how important it is to find time for prayer and reflection in our busy lives.
In the podcast, he shares how Newman helped him grow, and he hopes to help others find their own paths, just like he did.
