We are back with Tyler Woods, the new Artistic and Executive Director of Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park (OSP) and talking about Cowboy Macbeth (you heard me!). The first production directed by the Emerging Artists Collective (EAC) is being brought to us live in the historic Paseo district by Bell Reeves (Lady Macbeth), Justin Marlow (Macbeth), and Dillon Rasberry (Man with a Plan). We will talk about the language of Shakespeare's stage, this layered history that Shakespeare creates: 11th century historical Macbeth, 17th century Gunpowder Plot, and even reveal Lady Macbeth's real name. And then there is the Land Run and the 19th century lens being brought to the stage by the EAC. Yes, *spoiler alert* "castle" becomes "homestead" and the banquet becomes a hoedown. We will open up the Macbeth(ian) gates of hell to talk witches, traitors, equivocators, and the greatest and most damned couple in Shakespeare's works.
