Join your favorite Sinners as Adam and Miles break down another chaotic week in sports. TI is out coaching, but there’s no shortage of madness to cover—including fights in a Starbucks, major NFL shakeups, and a wrestling storyline that has fans losing their minds.
The big story in the NFL is Debo Samuel’s shocking trade to Washington. Adam wrestles with his feelings about the move, explaining why the 49ers were willing to part ways with the star receiver for just a fifth-round pick and whether Washington fans should be as excited as they think. Meanwhile, Matthew Stafford is staying in Los Angeles, shutting down the rumors that he was headed to Vegas. But what does that mean for the rest of the quarterback market? Aaron Rodgers is now the biggest domino left, but if his options are the Giants, Raiders, and Titans, he might as well disappear into another darkness retreat.
Elsewhere, the wrestling world got flipped upside down when John Cena shockingly turned heel after 17 years. Adam and Miles aren’t exactly wrestling experts, but even they can appreciate how wild it is to see Cena go full Hollywood Hogan mode, leaving Cody Rhodes a bloody mess. Over in baseball, Shohei Ohtani wasted no time making an impact, launching a home run in his first at-bat for the Dodgers. Adam, of course, is annoyed. Should the Dodgers even bother with him as a pitcher, or is he better off as a bullpen weapon? Meanwhile, Justin Verlander is somehow a San Francisco Giant, and the Colorado Rockies are already an afterthought.
The guys also give a special shoutout to Bam Martin-Scott, a Fort Wayne native they once coached, who just showed out at the NFL Combine with a blazing-fast 40 time. And finally, in this week’s Idiot of the Week, a sports reporter picks a fight in a Starbucks, and Ian Rapoport calmly shuts him down.
