Some sources say that The day of the Dead was adapted from the Mayan tradition of Hanal Pixan (pishawn). Many altars are made with fruits, meats, vegetables, alcohol, water, spices, sea salt, candles, flowers, plants, personal items, rocks or whatever materials found fit for creating the altar for the spirits and the ancestors. Such items serve as offerings of beauty from this dimension and world to their surviving spirits. All Saints Day also coincides with Hanal Pixan creating a substantial amount of other spiritual energies celebrating Life All over the universe and cosmos along with life on this planet... What wonderful Brown Spirit parties among Saints, the Dead and whomever wanting to participate and play. Merry Brown All around!!!
