Description

On this episode of The YLF Experience Podcast, I’m inviting you into a real and sometimes messy conversation about what it actually takes to live from the inside out. I’m recording tonight with stormy weather rolling through, a nervous pup by my side, and a reminder that none of this mindset work happens in perfect circumstances.

We’re diving deep into how to align your actions with an inside/out mindset. It sounds simple—connect with yourself and live outwardly—but it’s not what most of us are used to hearing. It takes practice, patience, and a lot of self-compassion. Even I slip back into old patterns sometimes, but the goal isn’t perfection. It’s aiming for progress, catching yourself when you drift, and choosing how you want to show up again and again.

I’m sharing why I believe confidence starts with a decision—a choice to believe in yourself first, rather than waiting for actions or outcomes to prove your worth. Every time you reinforce that belief, it’s like watering a seed, helping it grow into something stronger and more unshakeable.

We also get into the weeds of food freedom. There’s no “good” or “bad” food. I’m talking through how to untangle those labels, especially around trigger foods you might feel out of control with. From ice cream to Oreos to broccoli (if that’s your thing), we discuss how to set practical parameters so you can include the foods you love without guilt, while still prioritizing your overall health and preferences.

Plus, I’m talking about movement and how your activity choices can and should evolve over time. Whether you’re discovering a new love for the stair climber or navigating injuries that force you to pivot, it’s all about staying as active as you can for as long as you can. The key is building a foundation you enjoy, so you’re not forcing yourself into activities you hate—and so you can adapt when life throws curveballs your way.

This is an honest chat about how to connect with yourself, build real confidence, and make choices that align with the life you want. And as always, I’d love to hear what’s on your mind, so drop me a message or send over your topic ideas for future episodes.

Thanks for hanging out with me tonight—even if the thunder is rumbling in the background. Let’s keep building from the inside out.
