Description

In this episode of The YLF Experience Podcast, we dig into a simple but powerful question that can completely shift how you move through your day. What are you justifying in your life and why? This question sounds basic, but when you pause long enough to answer it honestly, you start to see the routines, habits, and decisions that you’ve let run on autopilot. Some of them help you. Some of them don’t. And a lot of them have been built around comfort.

You’ll hear me talk about why comfort is not the enemy. We like comfort. We crave routine. Even when a habit is not moving us forward, we’ll keep it around because it feels familiar. That’s human. The real issue shows up when we cling to habits because of the story we attach to them. We justify what we do because it feels responsible, or moral, or aligned with who we believe we are. But when your identity gets tied to things that no longer serve you, especially in fitness, work, or day to day life, you end up stuck.

This episode is an invitation to pull on that loose thread. What is the thing you know you’re justifying? What’s the story behind it? What emotion sits underneath it? What part of your identity has wrapped itself around it? When you explore those answers, you open yourself up to clarity, which is always the starting point for change.

I also talk about journaling, how I use the Day One app, and why organizing your thoughts matters when you’re trying to understand your own patterns. Some justifications have truth in them and are worth keeping. Others are distractions that keep you from the calm and deliberate headspace you need to take consistent action. The goal is not judgment. The goal is awareness.

Take some time with this one. Journal if you can. And if you’re in the Experience, book a call so we can talk through what you uncover. Once you understand what you’ve been justifying and why, you can finally choose your next steps with confidence.

As always, thank you for watching and listening. I will talk to you again tomorrow.
