In this episode I talk about the belief that you are behind and why that feeling almost always comes from comparing yourself to someone else’s timeline. We look at how easy it is to convince yourself that you should be further along because of what you see on social media, what you think others expect from you, or what you believe society says you should have figured out by now. The truth is that you are running your own race and you will get where you are supposed to go when it is time for you to get there.
I walk through why focusing on what you cannot control creates noise, stress, and distraction, while focusing on your own process brings clarity, calm, and momentum. Life tends to quiet down when you shift your attention back to your own path. When you operate from a deliberate, steady pace and trust the inside/out approach, you stop rushing to meet someone else’s benchmarks and start building a life that actually fits you.
You will also hear me encourage you to take an honest look at whose race you have been trying to run and how that has shaped your perception of being behind. I want to hear your thoughts too, whether you message me during the stream or send me an email after the fact. As always, thank you for being here and I will talk to you again tomorrow.
