In this episode, we kick off the week with a deep dive into four topics that keep showing up in our inside/out fitness conversations. First, we look at how improving your self-talk directly impacts how you see yourself. So many of us carry labels placed on us by others, but once we shift our internal dialogue to something more compassionate, our identity starts to shift too.
We also explore food guilt and how to build real trust with yourself around food choices. This is not about always saying “no” or being overly strict. It’s about learning to own your decisions whether you’re choosing the indulgent meal or going with something more in line with your regular habits. Trusting yourself doesn’t mean perfection. It means confidence in your ability to navigate any situation.
Next, we talk about setting minimum daily actions for exercise. I explain why your daily goals should be lower than what you think you're capable of. That way, you’re regularly exceeding them and building confidence along the way. This calm, deliberate approach keeps you from burning out and helps avoid injury, something I’m personally navigating right now.
Finally, we close with a big reminder that consistency is a skill, not a personality trait. You’re already consistent in many areas of your life, and it’s time to apply that same mindset to fitness and nutrition. When you build a plan that matches your preferences and lifestyle, you won’t need to rely on willpower to show up... you’ll just keep showing up because it fits.
Thanks for joining me. Let’s keep building your goals from the inside/out.
