Miriam Colleran is a consultant in palliative medicine in Ireland. She completed an MD on the impact of advanced cancer on sexuality using qualitative research. She is interested in medical humanities and narrative-based medicine, healthcare communication, compassionate care, and the lived experience of illness. She has published poetry on grief and loss.
