Reality creation has entered its 1,736th season. This week, we’re dragging “good vibes only” out behind the shed, lovingly, and putting it out of its customer-service misery.
Here’s the thesis: good vibes only is emotional outsourcing. Reality creation is not denial. It’s concentration. When you hand your discomfort to someone else and demand they turn it into a lesson, a silver lining, or an Instagram-ready redemption arc, you lose the plot. And you lose yourself.
We talk potholes, sinkholes, carnival season whiplash, and why forced optimism isn’t neutrality, it’s suppression. And suppression has a cost. It taxes your brain, strains your relationships, and turns “healing” into a full-time masking job.
