Description

What do you do when God gives the fairytale ending you prayed for—and what about when He doesn’t? In Esther 7–8, we see an incredible reversal: the enemy exposed, the faithful rewarded, and God’s people rescued in dramatic fashion. It’s the kind of story we love—the fairytale ending where God shows up and shows off.

But faith isn’t only built in the moments of breakthrough. In this message, we also journey to the Garden of Gethsemane and the cross, where Jesus prayed for another way and a thief found eternal hope in his final moments. Sometimes God changes the story. Sometimes He changes the ending. Either way, the Devil never gets the last move.

Whether you’re believing God for a miracle or learning to trust Him in the waiting, this sermon will encourage you to keep asking, seeking, and knocking—and to remember that because of Jesus, eternity is secure. Checkmate, Devil.
