Description

Ruth and Naomi have arrived in Israel. In an act of providence, Ruth “happens” to go into a field owned by a relative of her deceased husband. We see a man show extraordinary kindness to someone who was on the outside looking in of Israelite society. She wasn’t an Israelite and she was a poor widow. Boaz’s acceptance of Ruth points us to how we are to treat our fellow man and it points us to the gospel and the savior who redeemed a sinful world.
