In "Bonded," the third episode, Joon's journey to connect with a dinosaur finally culminates in an epic canyon showdown. Initially feeling left out as the last unbonded member, Joon receives encouragement from Kex and Lt. Miller. He then bonds with a pterodactyl named Velox right when he needs him and saves the day by saving cobalt and helping the raptors.
