In "Homesick," a young stowaway named Matthew sabotages Terra Venture's engines, longing to return to Earth and his mother. While Commander Stanton and Kai investigate, Damon finds a connection with Matthew, sharing his own feelings of missing family. Meanwhile, Furio sends the monster Gasser to put the colony to sleep, planning to take control. The Rangers are affected by Gasser's gas, but Matthew manages to temporarily thwart Furio's plan, earning a medal of honor. Ultimately, the Galactabeasts absorb the gas, turning to stone until the Rangers energize them, forming the Galaxy Megazord to defeat Gasser.
