Description

What happens when two powerful allies begin to see each other as a threat? In this episode we examine the growing tensions between Milton Obote and Idi Amin in the mid-1960s. Allegations of corruption, growing paranoia and the crisis over the Buganda kingdom in 1966 contributed to the collapse of their once powerful alliance. While Obote consolidated his power in Uganda, Amin quietly built his own support base and prepared for the inevitable confrontation.
