For decades Danny DeVito held the title for the most iconic Penguin to be represented on screen in Tim Burton’s 1992 film Batman Returns. However HBO (max) has finally created a mafia show starring the flightless bird that is superior to The Sopranos. Taking many creative liberties from Jeph Loeb and Tim Sales Batman series The Long Halloween and Dark Victory. Taking the supporting role in this show is Selina Kyle’s sister Sofia Falcone with more backstory than we have ever seen of the Falcone sister.
Following the events of The Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, a.k.a. the Penguin, makes a play to seize the reins of the crime world in Gotham.
