Example: When I was coming home, my brother called me.
Note que "was coming" está no past continuous e "called" está no simple past.
Affirmative:
Suj + to be past + Ving + C
He was reading the book when you called.
Negative
Suj + to be past + not + Ving + C
You were not studying when we arrived.
Interrogative
(WH) + To be past + Suj + Ving + C?
