You may know David Genat as the Golden God from Survivor or as a cast member on Celebrity Apprentice or even as an international supermodel who has walked the catwalk for the likes of Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs. Now, he’s the presenter of Nine’s new global adventure reality TV show, Rush.
Three teams of Aussies are put to the test in this thrilling race around the world. In nine different countries, Brazil, Turkey, Jordan, India, Thailand, Ireland, France, Kenya and South Africa, the teams have one mission: be the first to get out and move on to the next destination. But there’s a twist, they are deprived of all their senses before being dropped into some of the biggest cultural events in the world.
David chatted to host and head of Entertainment at Mediaweek and Chattr, Anita Anabel, about the new series, how a practical joke turned into a profession that would change his life and everything in between.
Rush premiered on Sunday, July 2, at 7.00pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
