We gather for worship today in our homes, connected together as the body of Christ and by the Holy Spirit. As you enter worship, you are invited to light a candle and gather bread and wine or juice to celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion wherever you are.
Today, Pastor Heather shares the gospel story of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead, from the gospel of John. Lazarus' death and resurrection foreshadow Jesus' soon to come death and resurrection. Where the world places a period, God creates a comma. God brings new life even out of death. God in Christ calls us forth from the tomb, and just as Lazarus' friends and family help to unbind him from his grave clothes, so too are we called to help unbind one another from whatever bondage in we find ourselves stuck: be it fear, isolation, turmoil, worry or shame. God calls us to be unbinders in and for our world.
