NFTs (non-fungible tokens) are digital assets that can represent collectibles such as art work, sports cards and even real estate. The fact that they're non-fungible means that no two NFTs are the same. Each one has a unique 'fingerprint' in a sense. NBA Top Shot is a platform used to buy and sell NBA player NFTs, so pretty much digital trading cards. The industry is only about 4 years old but there is money to be made and it is growing fast.
