Description

In today's episode, Nadjejda begins to share her thoughts on the need for community care which is related to our mental health. She shares how often especially with everything that's happening around the world, we are often told and have been taught to minimize our own struggles and challenges because of the gravity of what's happening on a global level like the genocides in Gaza, Congo, Sudan, and the dire situation in her homeland Ayiti/Haiti.

She cares deeply and stands in solidarity with all oppressed people. And she also believes in caring for ourselves and those we are in community with who like ourselves are going through it.

She shares on the importance for us to have safe spaces to share ourselves beyond therapy and for us to be a safe space for people we are community with.

She invites her listeners to not minimize their struggles due to what's happening on the world stage and to practice both/and.

She wishes for all of us to be able to create and find communities where we can show up as our authentic selves and be able to share what's going with us with people who are safe and who care about us and for us to do the same for them.

Let us say yes to building community care.

Enjoy!
