Taiwan Collaborates on Black Hole Photograph
For many years, scientists have been exploring space through telescopes
With these special telescopes, we can see things further and further away from Earth.
But many scientists are also looking at things closer to home… like the center of our galaxy
Scientists believe that most galaxies, at their center, have something called a black hole (黑洞).
A black hole is where gravity is so powerful that nothing can escape it… even light gets pulled into it!
And because black holes take away light, they are too dark to see, and very difficult to photograph.
But it's still not impossible!
That's why Taiwan's Academia Sinica (中央研究院) has been working with scientists all over the world, to create photographs (照片) of black holes.
And thanks to everyone's hard work, we now have a picture of the black hole at the center of our own galaxy.
It's called Sagittarius A*, and it's 25,000 lightyears away.
That's 240 quadrillion kilometers (二十四京公里), or the number 24, with 16 zeros after it (240000000000000000)!
To take a picture of something that far away, Academia Sinica worked with many telescopes around the world.
Each telescope made one part of the picture, and then scientists all over the world worked hard to put them all together.
The result (結果) is a picture of a strange orange circle.
If you're curious (好奇), you can look it up on the internet (網路).
And although it may not look special, scientists say it can tell us a lot about how black holes work.
So the next time you use a camera, just be thankful you don't need 300 scientists to take a picture!

British Man Climbs Mount Everest for the 16th Time
How often do you walk upstairs?
And can you imagine walking upstairs for a whole month… in the cold?
Well, climbing Mount Everest (聖母峰) is even more difficult than that!
The peak (頂峰) of Mount Everest is the highest place on Earth, at over 8,800 meters high (高八千八百多公尺).
You might think that sounds too dangerous to climb (爬)…
But there are many people who make it their life's goal (人生最重要的目標) to climb this gigantic mountain.
And one man, named Kenton Cool, has climbed it 16 times!
Yes, that's right… his name is Mr. Cool.
And he has set a world record for climbing Mount Everest more times than anyone who is not from the country of Nepal.
But what about people from Nepal?
A big part of Mount Everest is in the country of Nepal, and some people who live there have climbed it even more times.
Many of these Nepalese climbers are called "Sherpas" (雪巴人).
A Sherpa is a kind of guide who is very familiar with climbing Everest, and helps other people reach the top.
So, congratulations to Mr. Cool, for his amazing achievement
But let's not forget about the Sherpas!

Eurovision 2022 Comes to a Close
Every year, many countries from all over Europe bring their best performers to compete in a contest of music and dance, called Eurovision.
And this year, after each country's performers got their chance on stage (台上), the contest judges (評審) gave the most points to their favorites.
At first (最開始), the top three performances were the U.K. (英國), Spain (西班牙), and Sweden (瑞典).
But after the judges, it was time to go to the people!
People from all over Europe voted for their favorites, and only one winner came out in first place…
It was Ukraine (烏克蘭)!
The Ukrainian singers and dancers thanked everyone for their support (支持), in music and during the war in their country.
Hopefully, Ukraine will be able to host (主辦) Eurovision next year!
