韓國女子團體 Blackpink 即將來高雄演出
K-Pop Group "Blackpink" to Perform in Kaohsiung next March on World Tour
South Korean girl group Blackpink is coming to southern Taiwan-Kaohsiung, in March, 2023.
The concert (演唱會) is part of their "Born Pink World Tour" (世界巡迴演) that begins in Seoul on October 15th this year.
The group was formed in 2016 by YG Entertainment, a South Korean entertainment agency (娛樂機構).
They had their first single album, "Square One", with two popular songs in 2016, and have become famous (有名) since then.
They have set the record for the best-selling album (最高銷售的紀錄) by a Korean girl group, and was the first to sell more than one million copies.
Blackpink's Kaohsiung concert will be their second appearance (出現/現身) in Taiwan, after their last performance in Taipei in 2019.
It looks like a very busy year for them, so let's wish them the best of luck!

Brad Pitt says he suffers from Facial Blindness
Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt has revealed he suffers from facial blindness.
好萊屋萬人迷布萊德彼特透露他有臉盲症。
What is facial blindness?
It is a neurological disorder (精神疾病) that causes people to find it difficult to recognize people's faces.
In more serious cases, sufferers can draw a blank when seeing the face of a family member or even one's own face.
這是一種精神疾病，會讓人無法認出親友或甚至自己的臉。
The condition is called prosopagnosia (面容失認症).
It is a little-known ailment (病症) that afflicts (折磨) about 1 in 40 people.
It often triggers anxiety (觸發焦慮), as people feel embarrassed in social situations when they struggle to remember who people are.
Sufferers tend to (傾向) avoid situations in which they will meet people, and as a result become withdrawn (鬱悶).
58-year-old Brad Pitt says he has not been officially diagnosed with prosopagnosia.
He first spoke about it in 2013.
He said nobody believed him when he could not recall their name.
He worried that people thought he was being aloof (冷漠), inaccessible (難以親近的), and self-absorbed (自私的)".
He said, "People hate me because they think I'm disrespecting them."
He said he has used many ways to get around (解決) his lack of recall (無法記憶).
He asked acquaintances (熟人) where he met them before, but said that made the situation worse.
He hopes speaking about facial blindness will raise awareness of it.

Koala put on Endangered Species List
Many people think koalas are the cutest animals in the world.
Do you think so, too?
Animal lovers will be saddened to hear that this lovable marsupial (有袋動物) has been moved to the endangered species list (瀕危物種的名單).
The Australian Koala Foundation estimates there are somewhere between 43,000 to 100,000 koalas left in the wild.
澳洲無尾熊基金會估計出，在野外的無尾熊大約剩下四萬三千至十萬的數量。
Their numbers have been dwindling rapidly (快速減少) due to the disease, loss of habitat (棲息地), bushfires (森林大火), being hit by cars, and other threats.
Stuart Blanch of the World Wildlife Fund in Australia said, "Koalas have gone from non-listing, to vulnerable, to endangered, within a decade."
澳洲世界野生動物基金會的Stuart Blanch表示，無尾熊從沒有到上榜到瀕臨絕種動物的名單只有短短的十年內。
That is a shockingly fast decline.

He added that koalas are in danger of "sliding towards extinction (絕種)", unless there are "stronger laws… to protect their forest homes".
Australia's Environment Minister (澳洲環境理事長) Sussan Ley said there have been "many pressures on the koala", and that it's "vulnerable (容易受傷的) to climate change (氣候變化) and to disease (疾病).
She said the 2019-2020 bushfires, which killed at least 6,400 of the animals, were "a tipping point" (引爆點).
