Ace Locksmith Cracks 100-year-old Safe
A Changhua County mystery has been solved.
A very old safe (保險櫃) had been found in Fenyuan Township.
Experts say the black iron safe is around 100 years old.
And it weighed around 200 kilograms!
A safe is usually used to keep something locked inside.
So everyone wondered…
What was inside the Fenyuan safe?
Some people thought there may be bars of gold.
The township offered a reward of $5,000 NT to the person who could open the safe.
Some people tried, but they couldn't crack the safe (打開保險櫃).
Then the township raised the reward.
They would give someone $10,000 NT to open the safe.
Many more people tried, but also failed.
Finally, an expert locksmith from Taichung did it!
The man surnamed Mr. Wang has been working with locks since he was 13 years old.
That's almost 70 years of experience!
Mr. Wang brought his special key.
It's a skeleton key (萬用鑰匙).
Skeleton keys are designed to open many different locks.
Wang has been using this key for more than 30 years.
With his special key, and skills, Mr. Wang opened the safe in about 40 minutes!

Finally, everyone saw what was inside.
There was…
Nothing.
The safe was empty!
Many people were disappointed that there was no gold inside.
But the township still gave Mr. Wang the $10,000 NT reward.

And the safe will be kept at the township office, to show to visitors.

What do you think of when we talk about the library?
I bet you think of books right?
Well how about a library that's shaped like a book?
Dubai has a special new library.
The Mohammed bin Rashid Library is 7 floors tall.
And the outside of the library looks like an open book!
The library holds more than a million books.
And it also holds more than 6 million research articles (研究論文).
Each floor of the library features one genre (類型).
There's a floor for children's books, a floor for young adults, and a floor for atlases and maps.
And one floor of the library holds rare and antique books.
Some of those books go back to the 13th century (13世紀).
It even holds first-edition manuscripts (第一版手稿) of works by William Shakespeare.
There are robots inside the library.
The robots help visitors find the book they want.
圖書館裡還有機器人，可以幫訪客尋找他們想要的書本。
The chairman of the library says it is a modern library, and a source for knowledge.
The library is also eco-friendly (環保的).
It uses solar panels to generate some electricity.
And it recycles some of the water used in the library.
The library cost about $272 million U.S. dollars to build.

The singer from Barbados has won many awards for her music.

But many people hoped Rihanna would make more new music.
And now she has!
Her new song "Lift Me Up" is the main song for the new Marvel movie "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever".
Rihanna says the song is to honor Chadwick Boseman, who played T'Challa, the Black Panther, in the first Black Panther movie.
