At a Ball Game? Hold on to Your Lunch!

When golfers hit the golf ball hard, they will usually yell, "FORE!"

And that means, "Watch out! There's a ball flying through the air!"

Maybe we need something like that for baseball too.

Recently, many people were watching a Chinese Professional Baseball League game

The WeiChuan Dragons were playing the Rakuten Monkeys.

But something unexpected (出乎意料) happened in the 6th inning.

A player hit a ball hard.

It was a foul ball (界外球), and went out-of-bounds.

But it flew high…

And kept flying…

Until it flew right into a young girl's lunchbox!

The food fell all over the girl and onto the floor.

And she was quite shocked (震驚).

WeiChuan Dragons staff quickly came over.

They checked to make sure the girl was okay.

And they brought over three new lunchboxes.

They gave the lunchboxes to the girl and her mom.

And another person found the foul ball, and gave it to the girl.

Many people thought this was a nice thing to do.

And what a funny story the girl will have to tell!

Robot Finds Alligator in Florida Water Pipe

A town in the U.S. was trying to solve a mystery.

In the past few weeks, many potholes (坑洞) appeared on the roads of Oviedo in Florida.

This made it dangerous for cars to drive on the roads.

Officials thought the problem might be underground (地下).

So they used a robot with a camera on top.

The robot has four wheels, and can move around.

The robot camera helps workers check underground pipes

It can show workers if there are any leaks or cracks on the pipes.

They sent the robot camera into the town's storm drains

At first the camera just showed dark pipes and water.

Then, they saw two little glowing eyes.

The workers thought maybe it was a toad.

But then the animal turned around, and they saw a long tail.

It was a big alligator!

The alligator was about 1.7 meters long.

That's about as long as a refrigerator!

When the alligator saw the camera, it moved back.

It turned around, and crawled away.

The robot followed the alligator.

It followed the alligator for several minutes, but then the robot got stuck.

The alligator quickly disappeared.

Officials say this is why they ask people not to go into storm drains.

They said it was a good thing town workers have a robot!
