Taipei City's First Digital High School
How do you feel about having online classes?
Students around Taiwan have a lot of experience with distance learning (遠距教學) because of COVID-19.
And now, Taipei is opening its first digital (數位) senior high school for the next school year.
It's called the Taipei Digital Experimental High School, or 'T-school'.
The T stands for Taipei, technology (科技), and talent (才能).
It also stands for 'T-shaped skills', which means knowing about one subject, and having the ability to cooperate with people who know about different subjects.
It is run by the city government, and students can have the opportunity (機會) to learn any time, anywhere.
The school believes that education is not limited by (受限於) time and space.
Students can study and earn credits (賺取學分) through online courses, in-person courses, or mixed learning modes.
They would take online courses at home during school study hours, or use classrooms in the school's learning center.
They can also go to other places, such as libraries, and science and education centers, with the school's approval.
The Department of Education says applications (申請) are open to students at the junior high school level.
The new academic year (學年) starts in August, and only 48 students will be admitted.
The curriculum (課程) uses physical and digital resources to create a new learning experience.

The Clean, Green, Superhero Dog in Chile
Sam might not look like a superhero (超級英雄), but his work has inspired many people in Santiago, the capital of Chile (智利首都聖地牙哥).
He is a border collie (邊境牧羊犬) and he has become famous for being "Sam: the Parquemet Superhero", because of his work cleaning a park.
It all started when Sam and his owner (主人) walked in Santiago's Metropolitan Park (聖地牙哥大都會公園).
They found a lot of garbage, from plastic bottles to face masks.
In just one month, Sam and his owner collected 602 face masks, 585 bottles, and 304 cans.
Park officials were so amazed they decided to use Sam's image to teach people about maintaining a clean environment.
An artist named Catalina Aravena turned Sam into a comic character
In the comic, he wears a green cape (披風) and tells people to take their waste with them, or use the recycling points in the park.
His story has reached schools and spread (傳播) online on social media.
Park officials launched an anti-littering campaign last year.
They were inspired by Sam to strengthen their efforts related to educating the public and collecting waste.

Hyundai's 'Walking' Cars May Soon Be a Reality!
Car makers often make concept cars (概念車) to show off their technology.
But most never make it past the prototype stage because they're too far-fetched or too expensive to make on a big scale.
South Korean car manufacturer (製造商) Hyundai plans to make two futuristic cars.
They are called the Elevate and Tiger X-1.
The Elevate looks like the four-legged All Terrain Armored Transport AT-AT walkers in the Star Wars movies.
Elevate
It's battery-powered (電池供電) and can fit up to four people.
It has robotic legs, so the vehicle can step over obstacles and climb over five-foot-tall walls, while keeping its passengers completely level.
The legs fold (折疊), so the car can travel on normal roads, too.
Hyundai thinks Elevate could be useful for exploring rural areas, or for helping first responders (第一批救難人員) deal with difficult terrain after natural disasters.
The car can also help people in wheelchairs (輪椅).
The company believes the Hyundai Elevate can walk up to their front doors and allow the wheelchair to roll right inside.
The Tiger X-1 is smaller, but it has similar features (功能) to the Elevate.
It is unmanned, autonomous, and small enough to be carried by a drone.
It doesn't carry people.
Hyundai says the Tiger X-1 could be used for scientific explorations of extreme environments or for emergency services, like sending medicine or equipment to the site of a natural disaster.
The vehicle could someday even be used to travel on the surface of the Moon or Mars
The Korean car manufacturer is also working on making flying taxis, too.
They will make it easier to transport people in busy cities.
