Mobile Gamer's Claw-Shaped Hand

Playing mobile games (手機遊戲) is a lot of fun.

But playing on a phone for hours can cause problems for your body.

A man in Taichung learned this the hard way (慘遭教訓).

He had a very bad habit (習慣) of playing mobile games for hours and hours while lying in bed.

The man would lie down on his belly and prop himself up on his elbows at a 90 degree angle.

Until one day, he noticed his ring finger and little finger start to feel numb

His fingers were stuck in a bent position, making his hands look like claws.

He went to the doctor's office, where he found out he suffered from cubital tunnel syndrome

The doctor said the nerves in his elbows were always under pressure when he lay down, causing his fingers to go numb.

Because his condition was so serious, the man had to get surgery (手術) on both hands!

He is now recovering, and his hands are back to normal.

The doctor says keeping good posture (姿勢) is important for your long-term health.

So, if you're sitting for hours playing games, or doing homework, make sure to change positions every 30 minutes!

COP27: Climate Summit in Egypt

Many world leaders are in Egypt this week for an annual climate change conference.

The Conference of the Parties, or COP27, is the 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference

The UN shares information every year to help world governments stop global warming

And for the first time ever, there's an official space for kids and young people at the conference.

In the Children and Youth Pavilion, they'll get to talk to world leaders, ministers, and other important people.

It's led entirely by young people and is run by child and youth networks.

Its goal is to let the voices of children and teenagers across the world participate in this global issue.

Many young people are protesting (抗議) now because they want world leaders to make some big decisions.

But it might be difficult for leaders to agree on everything.

The rising price of gas and energy is one of the challenges many countries face…

And other countries say they don't have enough money to spend on global warming.

COP27 is being held from November 6th to 18th in Egypt.

Pet Dog Has a Very Expensive Snack

If you have a pet dog, you know that dogs can be very naughty sometimes

They do things like make a lot of noise, make a mess inside your house, or chew up your shoes and slippers.

But one particular dog was very, very naughty, because he decided to get up on the table at his owners' home to chew up (咀嚼) all the papers he found there.

Unfortunately, the dog didn't just chew up papers, he chewed up the paper money (鈔票) that his owners left on the table.

When his owner came home, she was very upset (懊惱).

The dog destroyed more than two thousand US dollars in cash!

The owner told all her friends on social media, and the video went viral

One person suggested she take all the pieces to the bank and ask for help.

Another person suggested using tape (膠帶) to put all the notes together.

In the end, the woman said the situation wasn't as bad as it looked.

She and her husband were able to tape most of the money together, and they think they lost just three hundred dollars.

It might sound like plenty of cash - but it is still much less than two thousand dollars!
