Try Out Being a Pet Owner
Adopting a pet means giving it a "forever home".
But each animal is different.
And sometimes, it can be hard to know if an animal and its new family are a good fit.
So Kaohsiung is running a "trial pet adoption" program.
People can adopt a pet for 30 days.
During this time, people can take the pet home.
This means the animal has time to get used to new people and a new home.
And people who have never owned a pet before, can use the time to see if they are ready to take care of an animal.
動保處說有一些新手飼主會擔心無法勝任，試養活動可以幫助他們更確定適不適合養寵物，也能讓犬貓多接觸更多人，提高它們成功被認養的機率。
Adopters must be at least 18 years old.
And they must have no record of breaking animal protection laws.
If at the end of the 30 days, the owner thinks the pet is not right for them, they can return the animal to the office.
And the office will look for a new home for the pet.
高雄市動保處表示，試辦「相遇~相識30認養活動」，堤共30天的磨合期，讓民眾和動物陪伴相處，彼此熟悉。

機場加入搶救蜜蜂大作戰
Your Flight has BEE-n Delayed
People around the world are flying again.
That means more fun trips to other countries and more business for airlines.
But, it also means more flight delays (飛機誤點).
One flight in the US was recently delayed for a strange reason.
The flight from Houston to Atlanta was delayed by about three hours.
Why was it delayed?
Because of BEES!
A swarm of bees (一群蜜蜂) landed on a parked airplane at the airport.
The bees rested on one of the wings of the plane.
People at the airport say the airline thought of a few different ideas to get the bees off the plane.
They wanted to get the plane free quickly.
But they were worried about hurting the bees.
And they also did not want to damage (損害) the very expensive airplane.
In the end, the airline moved the airplane to a safe space and used equipment to get the bees off.
The airline apologized (致歉) to passengers for the delay.
People are now learning that bees are very important for the environment.
They help plants grow.
Many airports around the world are changing to be more "bee-friendly".
許多世界各地的機場都加入了蜜蜂保育的活動。
Airports use a lot of land.
And a lot of that land is unused green space.
That land could be a good place for bees to live.
The Hamburg Airport in Germany has an apiary (養蜂場) on airport grounds.
And many airports are helping with research to help bees.
It sounds like a win-win situation.

Tom Cruise Accepts Award While Flying Plane
Tom Cruise is a big action star.
He's done many amazing stunts (特技動作) for movies.
He jumped off buildings.
He held his breath (憋氣) for six and a half minutes underwater.
He has even hung off a flying helicopter.
Some of his stunts are so dangerous, even the director couldn't watch as they were filming (拍攝).
許多危險的特技動作湯姆克魯斯都親自上陣，據說曾經連導演都嚇得不敢看監視器。
So how does Tom Cruise accept an award?
While flying a fighter plane, of course!
Tom Cruise accepted his "Best Performance in a Movie" award from the MTV Movie & TV Awards, from the cockpit of the plane.
And he was flying the plane high in the sky!
It was a pre-recorded video.
At the end of the video, he tells the audience "We'll see you at the movies."
Then he flies the plane away, into the clouds.
