Two New Check-In Tourist Attractions in Kaohsiung
There are more places for people in Kaohsiung to take photos and enjoy outdoor activities now!
Two new check-in attractions (打卡景點) have been set up in Kaohsiung.
One is playful and lively, the other one is romantic!
The spots are in Lotus Pond and Cijin.
Lotus Pond attracts many tourists to visit each year, and now, in its children's park, there is a "Fantasyland" (奇幻樂園).
It used the idea of Alice in Wonderland as a blueprint.
Fantasyland is designed to give everyone a magical journey.
Earlier this year, one of the longest 30-meter zip lines (高空滑索) in southern Taiwan was set up in the park and attracted many visitors.
And now, they added installations such as playing card soldiers (撲克牌衛兵), a lollipop-like carousel (棒棒糖旋轉木馬), and dreamy gorgeous castles (城堡).
In fact, you need to use a mysterious light-up key in order to get into the castles.
With immersive design of lighting and music…
The park is like a dream!
On the other side of the town, the Tourism Bureau (觀光局) created a Mediterranean style (地中海風格) building in the Cijin Shell Gallery (旗津貝殼館).
The blue roofs and white walls are making people feel as if they are walking on the streets of Greece (希臘).
There is also a European manor-style wedding hall (歐式莊園式婚宴廳) next to the building.
Along with a church in the area, it is definitely giving people a very romantic atmosphere.
And there is more!
There are also light shows going to happen soon!
There are so many places to visit in Kaohsiung this autumn.

Czech Police Turn Criminal's Ferrari into Patrol Cars
Do you know how much a police car costs?
It is believed that there are some very expensive police cars in Europe.
The country Czech Republic (捷克共和國) in Europe has one of the most expensive police cars in the world.
Their police drive Ferrari to catch criminals.
Ferrari is one of the most luxurious sports cars in the world.
Their police seized the cars from criminals, and turned them into patrol cars (巡邏車).
When they got them, they had to spend about $14,000 U.S. dollars to retro-fit (改裝) the cars…
Because Ferraris are usually red, but the police cars there are yellow and blue.
Now when police need to catch aggressive road rage drivers (行車問題) and street racers (飆車族)…
They are fast enough to chase them!

Feeling Hungry Can Make Us Feel "hangry"
Do you know the word "hangry"?
It's a feeling of being hungry and angry.
The word started being used from 1918 and now many people are using it.
It is even in a modern English dictionary.
UK researchers did an experiment on 64 volunteers, from the ages of 18 to 60 years old.
They asked them to complete a survey (問卷) on a smartphone app.
They had to do the survey five times a day for twenty-one days.
Then they examined them to see how hunger affects (影響) their emotions in their daily lives.
And it showed many people getting angry due to hunger.
It is now believed to be a diagnosable feeling
The research tells us that when we feel hungry, we usually don't feel good and the irritating feelings (惱人的感覺) could come up (出現).
So next time, if you're feeling hungry, remember to eat something and don't get angry!
