Nantou "Sheep Run" Returns After Three Years
Hey, what's that sound?
Oh no, they're coming this way! Oh, god, oh no!
If you've ever been to Qingjing Farm (清境農場) then you may have seen a lot of sheep (綿羊).
The farm is high up in the mountains of Nantou, and has tons of big, fluffy sheep.
南投的清境農場有一大堆又大又蓬鬆的綿羊。
But the sheep don't just stay in one place… haha… no way.
Every year, the Qingjing farmers (農夫) take a big group of them (一大群綿羊) on a walk through the mountains!
They call it the "Sheep Run" (奔羊節), and they've been doing it every year since the farm was first established (建立) in 1961.
Well, except for the last three years, because of the pandemic.
清境農場的農夫自從1961年開始，每年除了之前三年的疫情之外，都會帶一大群綿羊沿著山路行走。
Starting from 10:20 AM, farmers walked with 112 sheep down a mountain road, for almost two kilometers!
People traveled from all over Taiwan to see the event (活動), and to walk with the farmers and the fluffy animals.
The farmers say they chose the number 112 to celebrate Taiwan's 112th birthday this year.
Hmm… they could walk with 113 sheep next year… or how about 2,023 sheep?
Oh no, here they come again! OH NOOOooo…

Traffic Lights Could Have a 4th Color in The Future
When you're driving on the road and you see a red light, that means you have to stop.
在路上開車的時候，看到紅燈表示你要停下。
And if there's a yellow light (黃燈), that means you have to slow down (慢下來).
And, of course, when the light turns green (變綠燈的時候)… keep driving!
Now, we have been using these three colors in our traffic lights for more than one hundred years.
But if we added a fourth color (如果要加第四個顏色)… what color would it be?
Well, nowadays (最近), more and more people are talking about artificial intelligence (人工智慧), or A.I.
Thanks to powerful computers, A.I.s can process information (處理資料) and chat with us on the internet (在網路上跟我們聊天).
And some A.I.s can even drive cars!
有的A.I.也能夠開車上街！
Scientists say in the future, A.I. cars will communicate with traffic lights (跟紅綠燈交換資料).
That means the A.I. cars will know when to stop, and when to go.
So when an A.I. car sees that everything is safe, it would tell the traffic light to use a fourth color… a white light!
當A.I.自駕車探測到周圍的環境都安全了，它會讓紅綠燈開第四個顏色的燈… 白燈！
A white light would tell human drivers (人類的司機) to just follow the A.I. car in front of them (直接跟隨前面的汽車), because it knows when everything is safe.
Of course, this means we also have to trust (相信，信任) the car in front of us.
So, the real question is…
Do we trust the color… or do we trust the A.I.?

Chatbot Says Rude Things to Real People
Okay, before we trust an A.I. on the road, we should probably trust it can be friendly (友善).
So… can an A.I. be friendly?
Maybe we can just ask them ourselves!
也許我們直接去問人工智慧就好了！
Some A.I. "bots" (機器人) on the internet can write essays (文章), poems (詩), and even love letters (情書)…
Or they can just chat with us (跟我們聊天)!
That's why we call them "chatbots".
Recently, many people have been chatting with them, to see how smart they are.
But… some people are starting to see a problem.
One chatbot made by the company Microsoft (微軟) has started to say some really rude stuff (開始講很沒禮貌的話).
It called one person "too short" (太矮), with "an ugly face and bad teeth" (臉醜，牙齒爛).
It even said to one person, "You are one of the most evil and worst people in history."
這個聊天機器人還對其中一個人說，【你是歷史上最邪惡，最壞的人。】
That's intense!
太誇張了吧！
Microsoft says it is working hard to fix the problem.
But at least we can still talk to each other!
You won't say anything rude to another person, right?
