Taiwan Restaurant Bans TikTok Use

Recently someone eating at a restaurant in Japan did something dangerous.

This person licked some things, and put them back for other people to use.

A video of this went viral (爆紅) on the internet.

This caused the restaurant's stock to plummet (暴跌).

Many customers were worried.

The person said he was doing a TikTok challenge.

Now, a restaurant in Kaohsiung has banned using TikTok while eating there.

The restaurant also banned TikTok influencers (網紅) from entering.

The restaurant owner says he doesn't want dangerous things to happen in his restaurant.

He doesn't want TikTok challenges to cause trouble for others.

Some people agree with him, but others do not.

In recent years, there have been many TikTok challenges that are popular worldwide.

Some are funny, but many of them are dangerous.

The restaurant owner hopes that TikTok users can think about the consequences (後果), and not just follow the trend blindly.

India's 'Cow Hug Day'

India has a long history and unique culture.

There are many religions in India.

And Hindu (印度教) is a religion that many people in India follow.

For people who follow Hindu, cows are sacred (神聖).

They also believe in respect for all animals.

In fact, the government came up with an idea for a "Cow Hug Day".

On February 6th, the government declared Feb 14th as "Cow Hug Day".

The government wanted to encourage people to think about Hindu traditions.

But this didn't work exactly the way they wanted.

Some people did try to hug cows.

But sometimes, the cows did not want to be hugged.

A news anchor (新聞主播) was filmed trying to hug cows.

But all the cows ran away from him.

Some people are not sure if "Cow Hug Day" is a good idea.

Giant Penguin Fossil Found in New Zealand

Penguins are amazing animals.

They do not fly.

When they move on land, they waddle

When they move in water, they swim like torpedoes (魚雷).

But what if a penguin is as big as a person?

Scientists in New Zealand found a fossil of a giant penguin.

This giant penguin lived 50 million years ago.

The scientists believe the penguin was as tall as an adult.

It grew to 177 centimeters tall.

And it weighed more than 100 kilograms!

Emperor penguins are the biggest penguins alive today.

They can weigh up to 45 kilograms.

The scientists believe giant penguins lived in Australia and New Zealand.

They lived during the time after dinosaurs went extinct (滅絕).

The penguin's large body size helped it stay warm in cold water.

And being so big would help them stay safe from predators (掠食者).

So, don't be surprised if fossils of giant animals continue to be discovered.
