Jack Pearce, co-chair of the Durham University Labour Club, and Lilith Foster-Collins, co-founder of Decommercialize Durham, come on the show to talk about the latest developments with Durham teaching and the Durham student experience, before Joshua Nichol and Emily Gordon, Labour Party activist and Durham University Conservative Association Political Officer respectively, speak to Max about the Dominic Cummings saga and the wider government response to the coronavirus pandemic. In the third part of the show, Durham African and Caribbean Society representative Jesse Bakare comes on the show to talk about the ramifications and implications of the murder of George Floyd by policemen in Minnesota.
Correction: at 56:18, Max claims there are 100 black home students at Durham. There are in fact 204 black British full-time students recorded at the university in 2019/20, making up 1.13% of the student population, compared to the national black population of 3%. As such, the conclusion drawn from Max's statistic nevertheless remains applicable.
