Description

Jake sits down to record after a meditation, but his mind is still full of thoughts! First up it's the fact that it takes two (or more) teams/players playing at their best to make great matches possible, as evidenced in the Hurling League game between Waterford and Dublin. Then it's a bit of a rant about fans of sports from around the world being dissatisfied with early morning broadcast times, commentary in languages other than English, and local cultural expression, and why sports should absolutely retain all that makes them unique, despite the pressure to homogenise. As it turns out, it's the differences and the journey into learning and adapting to the differences, that makes the journey enriching to the life of a sports fan.
