Episode 6

In this Conversation with Ministry Leaders, Carl sits down for a chat with Angie Lomas. Angie is a talented designer on the Church Visuals team and together they discuss designing graphics for the church.

From nearly being born in church to pursuing graphic design in college, Angie's path led her to merge her two passions. Initially, she worked as a student ministry intern before spending 13 years as the sole designer at a 2,500-member church. However, the demanding workload of creating graphics for every ministry eventually led to burnout.

Through her experience, Angie learned valuable lessons about perfectionism and resource management. Today, she encourages other church designers to embrace templates and ready-made graphics rather than creating everything from scratch. Additionally, she emphasizes the importance of maintaining spiritual and family life while serving in ministry.

Now working with Church Visuals, Angie is passionate about helping both experienced designers and volunteers communicate effectively through quality graphics. Most importantly, she believes in breaking down barriers through visual appeal, making churches more approachable to newcomers.

Angie's mission extends beyond creating flashy designs – she aims to help people take one step closer to Jesus through engaging visual communication. Her work continues to impact thousands of churches, enabling ministry leaders to share the gospel more effectively in their unique contexts.
