About Anahita
Anahita is a PhD student, nurse anesthetist, and science communicator based in Stockholm, Sweden. She's enrolled at the research school in health sciences at Karolinska institute, and her PhD project focuses on postoperative recovery and cognitive decline after surgery. After working 10 years clinically, she realized she wanted to pursue a research career in order to improve patient care.
Anahita advocates making science accessible for everyone and dedicates her social media to spread her knowledge. Besides scientific communication, she wants academia to be a sustainable workplace where all PhD students can thrive on their journey towards their doctoral degree.

About me
👉 My name is Dr Jolel Miah & I am a Lecturer in Psychology at a UK University. I have a BSc in Psychology, an MSc in Health Psychology & my PhD was in the area of Applied Psychology & Public Health which evaluated a motivational intervention to change walking and cycling behaviour.
🤳 I created these channels for further reading, sharing study tips for my students & also for the wider public (if they want to learn more). I am developing my own skills in teaching & I am hoping this will help me along the way.
🤓 I will also discuss & share historical and contemporary issues from the world of Psychology. Currently, I am on teaching a variety of modules at the University including Psychology in the Media.
