In this episode, hosts Daphne and Fred unpack a December 4 report from AI leader Anthropic that reports on the new Anthropic Interviewer, an AI-powered tool designed to conduct automated, large-scale qualitative interviews to understand human perspectives on working with AI.
To test this new methodology, the company ran 1,250 interviews with professionals—including the general workforce, creatives, and scientists—to gather insights into how they integrate AI and how they feel about its future role.
Findings indicated that professionals are generally optimistic about AI's productivity gains, though concerns persist regarding job displacement, social stigma, and the reliability of AI for core tasks, particularly among scientists.
Anthropic notes that this new tool will help them center human voices in their AI development and inform future policy work by collecting direct feedback at an unprecedented scale.
