Paula Sayword has been writing poetry for fifty years but only began to take herself seriously after she retired from a career in public housing. With her long-time partner, she lives in Western, Massachusetts.
Her poetry has appeared in Sanctuary, the Journal of Massachusetts Audubon Society; the Naugatuck River Review, Cyclamen & Swords, Sinister Wisdom, The Zuni Mountain Poets and Adrienne Rich: A Tribute Anthology. A chapbook, What Sleeps Inside was published by Slate Roof Press in 2010. Canticle of Light and Dark ( 2014 ) and Garden of things Lost (2021) were both published by The Synthesis Center Press.
