" Being ok with the Uncomfortable" - Emily Jane

In this powerful episode, we sit down with Emily Jane Randall, a HCPC-registered Drama Therapist working full-time in a London prison. Originally from a small village in Germany, Emily’s path to therapy began with a background in Musical Theatre and took shape through her studies in Education, Social Sciences, and eventually an MA in Dramatherapy (2024).

Emily shares her journey from performance to prison-based therapy, how her British-German identity informs her work, and the insights from her thesis on race and gender in forensic settings.

She also discusses “My Story – My Voice,” a trauma-informed group therapy program she facilitates, and her passion for integrating movement and boxing into therapeutic work with men and athletes.

This is a conversation about systems, identity, and the power of story and voice in spaces that often silence them.
