Laura Kramer Cohen MS, is a former Registered Dietitian whose personal and professional life did a full pivot with the diagnosis of her then 16-year-old daughter with Anorexia Nervosa.
One of the hidden gifts of this excruciating journey was Laura’s transformative shift to becoming an anti-diet professional and advocate for dismantling diet culture. Laura currently serves as a Family Mentor with Equip and facilitates their Freeform group for parents which is a body empowerment program that teaches participants to challenge diet culture and social body ideas.
Laura was very knowledgeable and knowing that she is going through the same experience with her daughter’s eating disorder makes me trust her even more. She never panicked, Laura went to the experts, even though it was against her own education, it made the difference.
