Originally from New Zealand, Daniel Nelson moved to the Gold Coast at 18 to pursue surf life saving, earning national titles before shifting his focus to film. After early work in commercials and student films, he joined Movie World’s live stunt shows at 23 and became a qualified stunt performer by 25.
He spent two years performing in WaterWorld at Universal Studios Singapore and has since worked on over 30 film and TV productions. His credits include Mortal Kombat, Thor: Love and Thunder, The Fall Guy, and the upcoming Voltron.
Now based on the Gold Coast with his young family, Daniel continues his work in the stunt industry and while mentoring the next generation through his own stunt training programs.
The Deep 21 is an exploration of meaningful conversations, where I invite guests from various walks of life to share their stories, insights, and reflections.
Each episode is focused on 20 carefully crafted questions designed to dive deep into the guest’s personal experiences, beliefs, and motivations and a unique 21st question, tailored specifically for each guest, adds an unexpected layer to the conversation.
